2. Licensure & Jurisdiction

I am licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.

California Residents

I am fully licensed to provide therapy to individuals physically located in California.

Utah Residents (Telehealth Only)

For clients located in Utah, I provide services in accordance with Utah’s laws for out-of-state telehealth providers.

To comply with Utah regulations, I disclose:

  • I am licensed in California, not Utah

  • I provide services to Utah residents under Utah’s telehealth allowances

  • Utah clients may verify my California license with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences

Utah Telehealth Requirements I follow:

  • I identify myself at the start of each session

  • You must disclose your physical location at each session

  • You will receive telehealth-specific informed consent

  • You are provided with Utah-relevant emergency resources

A Utah-compliant telehealth consent will be provided to clients during onboarding.

3. Therapy Services Only

This website and this policy apply only to psychotherapy and mental health services.

I do not provide:

  • Coaching

  • Consulting

  • Nationwide services

  • Medical advice

  • Non-clinical programs through this website

Therapy is available only to clients located in California or Utah (telehealth), in accordance with licensing laws.

4. HIPAA Notice vs Website Privacy

HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices (NPP)

Therapy clients receive a full HIPAA-compliant NPP through my secure client portal, which outlines:

  • How PHI is used

  • Your client rights

  • Confidentiality protections

Website Privacy (This Policy)

This website is not a HIPAA-secure platform.
Do not submit personal clinical information through:

  • Email

  • Contact forms

  • Social media messages

All clinical communication must occur through my HIPAA-compliant EHR.

All PHI is handled exclusively inside HIPAA-secure systems.

  • Location confirmation

I take reasonable steps to protect your information, including:

  • Encrypted therapy portals

  • Secure payment processing

  • Up-to-date cybersecurity practices

Still, no online system is completely secure.
Avoid sharing sensitive or clinical details through email or website forms.

  • I do not provide therapeutic services via email

  • Social media DMs are not monitored for therapy purposes

  • Likes, follows, and comments are not confidential

  • I will not acknowledge therapeutic relationships online

  • Social media is not a place for clinical communication

12. Crisis & Emergency Policy (CA & UT)

  • My website and email are not monitored continuously.
    If you are experiencing a crisis, suicidal thoughts, or feel unsafe:
