Work With Me
In Person in Palm Desert | Online in California & Utah
The hardest part is the part you’re doing right now.
If you’re used to being the one who handles things, asking someone else for help is a genuinely strange experience. Most of the women I work with sat on a page likes this one for awhile before doing anything with it. So here is exactly what happens next, so you’re not deciding blind .
The consultation
Fifteen minutes on the phone. You tell me what’s been going on and what you’re hoping changes. I ask some questions, answer yours, and tell you honestly whether I think I can help.
If I’m not the right fit, I’ll say so, and I’ll point you to someone who is. Referring you well is part of the job, and it’s a better outcome than six month of therapy that doesn’t work.
No cost, and no obligation to book anything afterward.

What happens after you send this
I read it myself. There’s no front desk and no intake coordinator between us. You’ll hear back from me within 1-2 business days, and if you don’t, something went wrong on my end and it’s worth trying again.
Sessions & Fees
30 minutes — $90 For check-ins. Good if you’re in a maintenance phase, if you’re doing well and want an occasional touchpoint, or if a full session isn’t workable financially right now and you’d rather have something steady than nothing at all.
53 minutes — $185 The standard session. Most people start here, and most of the work happens here.
90 minutes— $300 Extended sessions. Useful for EMDR processing, or any time stopping at the 50-minute mark would mean stopping in the middle of something.
We’ll figure out together which fits, and it can change over time.
I accept HSA and FSA cards along with all major credit and debit cards.
Questions People Ask
-
No. I’m out an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. I can give you a superbill, which is an itemized receipt you submit to your insurer yourself. Depending on your out-of-network benefits and where you are on your deductible, you may be reimbursed for part of what you paid.
Reimbursement varies a lot. Some plans pay you back a meaningful percentage and some pay nothing, and out-of-network benefits generalls only exist on PPO, POS, and high-deductible plans. HMO’s, Medicaid, and traditional Medicare typically don’t have them at all. Call the number on your insurance card and ask what your out-of-network outpatient mental health benefit is, so you know what you’re working with before you decide anything.
-
Two reasons, and both of them are about what you get.
Insurance only pays for the treatment of a diagnosable condition. Meaning, before your first session is covered, I have to assign you a mental health diagnosis, and that diagnosis becomes a permanent part of your medical record. A women who comes in burned out and stretched past her limit does not necessarily have a disorder, and I’m not willing to invent one so a third party will agree to pay.
The second reason is control. Insurers decide how many sessions they’ll authorize and can request your clinical records to justify continuing. Staying out of network means how long we work together is a conversation between the two of us, based on whether it’s actually working. Nobody outside our therapy space reads your notes.
-
Yes. Therapy from a licensed provider is a qualified medical expense, and I take HSA and FSA cards the same as any other card. Because that money is set aside pre-tax, it effectively lowers what a session costs you. If your plan administrator asks for documentation, I’ll provide you a receipt or superbill that covers it.
-
Start with the 53- minute session unless you already know otherwise. We’ll talk in the consultation about whether extended sessions make sense for what you’re bringing, and EMDR processing in particular sometimes benefits from the longer format. The 30-minute option is usually something people move into later rather than start with, though there are exceptions.
-
Most people start weekly, same day and time. Consistency is one of the few things that reliably predicts whether therapy works, so it's worth protecting the slot. How long the whole thing takes depends on what you're working on. This isn't open-ended, and we'll talk about progress directly instead of leaving you to wonder.
-
Yes, in Palm Desert. I also see clients online throughout California and Utah. Online EMDR works as well as in-person for most people, and it means doing the work somewhere you already feel safe!
-
I need 36 hours notice to cancel or reschedule, by phone or through the client portal. Less than that and you're responsible for the full session fee. If you're more than 15 minutes late, we'll reschedule and the session is charged.
Being sick is the exception. If you've had a fever, chills, or body aches in the last day and a half, we can cancel, reschedule, or move online, and it doesn't count against you. The full policy is in your intake paperwork.
-
Then take the fifteen minutes and find out. You're not committing to anything by having a conversation, and "I wasn't sure I was ready" is the most common thing I hear from women who are now several months in and doing considerably better.
